PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roundabout Tom (ranked 4979 p4p, 6705 weight class) and Sir Turner (ranked 602 p4p, 730 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner throws a combination. Tom tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Roundabout Tom has been cut.
A nice leg kick from Turner, right into the meat of the thigh.
Turner misses with the combination.
Tom tries to clinch but Turner moves out of range.
Tom gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Turner counters with a two punch combo.
Tom swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tom moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Turner lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tom looks to throw a body kick

and Turner counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Tom down! Turner is looking to finish but Tom is intelligently defending himself.

Tom is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Turner tries to stand but Tom is controlling from the bottom.
Oh Tom is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tom pulls Turner in close to his closed guard and prevents Turner from doing any damage or advancing position.
Tom seems to have got his legs back now.

Turner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Turner is pushing Tom's head away, looking to escape. Tom manages to hold on to the position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Tom tries to score a power double leg takedown but Turner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tom somewhat.

Roundabout Tom's cut is getting worse.
Tom shoots in looking for a takedown. Turner tries to sprawl out of it but Tom keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Turner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown attempt by Tom or perhaps it was just good defense by Turner, which made it look bad.

Turner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tom changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Turner has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Turner stalks Tom and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tom's face. Tom staggers backwards, shaken.

Tom manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Turner on his heels. He'll look to pass Turner's guard now, I'm sure.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Tom lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Turner has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Turner and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
