In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 22 wins and 4 losses; Claudio Ty! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 21 wins and 4 losses; Shane MacGowan!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Ty shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says MacGowan as he avoids it easily.
MacGowan feints the counter takedown.
Claudio Ty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ty closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. MacGowan quickly recovers to half guard.

MacGowan felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
MacGowan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ty's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ty's back!

Ty stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. MacGowan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

MacGowan slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

MacGowan is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ty is looking for a sweep. MacGowan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
