Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Henny Bottles (ranked 4168 p4p, 2768 weight class) and Charles Manson (ranked 209 p4p, 145 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Henny Bottles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charles Manson!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bottles misses the shot to the body.
Bottles throws a right hand that misses
and Manson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Manson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bottles avoids a punch combination nicely.

Manson scores with a takedown into Bottles's guard.
Bottles wants to sweep but no luck.
Manson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bottles is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Manson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Manson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bottles is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Manson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Manson misses with a looping right.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bottles. Manson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Henny Bottles is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bottles loads up on a big right hand but Manson slips the punch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bottles gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Bottles looks to score with a jab to the body but Manson is just out of range.
A cross from Bottles lands.
Manson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Manson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bottles defends well and Manson ends up having to push Bottles into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bottles jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Manson moves out of range as Bottles strikes.
Manson appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Bottles throws a shot to the body.

Bottles swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Manson throws a jab when Bottles was well out of range.
Bottles throws a series of punches but Manson avoids them all with ease.
Manson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Manson blocks a jab.
Manson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bottles as he avoids it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bottles throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Manson scores with a jab to the head.
We've been told by Bottles's head coaches at Westside Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Good exchange - Bottles coming out on top.
Bottles throws the left hand but Manson avoids the punch easily.
Bottles throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Manson.

Bottles gets caught flat footed, as Manson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Bottles is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Manson sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Bottles on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bottles tries to get out of the position.
Manson slips nicely into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Henny Bottles will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Manson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Manson lands in his opponent's guard.
Manson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bottles can't keep his opponent in guard - Manson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Manson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bottles is looking to get back to is feet but Manson passes into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Manson is working to tighten his grip on Bottles's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bottles has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Manson is really squeezing tight and eventually Bottles passes out! Manson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
