The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dredd shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dredd slips under a jab from Cannons.
Cannons defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dredd.
Dredd shoots in for a double leg but Cannons sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Johnny Cannons has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jin Dredd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cannons. Dredd does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cannons getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Dredd takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dredd takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Jin Dredd has been cut.
Dredd keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cannons closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Dredd! Cannons dives in looking to finish! Dredd is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
