PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Kiton (ranked 5075 p4p, 3097 weight class) and Mack Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 341 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mack Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kiton clinches up with Jackson and pushes him back against the cage.
Jackson is looking for a takedown.

Jackson has Kiton pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kiton manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Samuel Kiton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mack Jackson.

Jackson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kiton is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jackson to the mat. Jackson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Kiton not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Jackson has his foot on Kiton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kiton works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jackson is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Kiton is retaining full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Kiton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jackson stops Kiton from standing up.

Kiton is breathing heavily.

Jackson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson advances to half guard.

Kiton is not content to let Jackson control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kiton defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jackson.

Kiton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kiton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jackson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kiton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jackson is on top in guard.

What's Kiton going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Jackson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Kiton is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Jackson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kiton looks calm but he's in trouble here. Jackson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kiton is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Jackson lets go of the hold and Kiton can pop his arm back in it's socket.
