Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kennedy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Lachmann!

Lachmann slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Kennedy controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lachmann is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kennedy defends well.

Lachmann working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kennedy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kennedy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lachmann has his foot on Kennedy 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kennedy works his way back into a safe position though.
Kennedy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lachmann pulls Kennedy in close to prevent any damage.
Kennedy distracts Lachmann with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Oh Lachmann is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kennedy controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kennedy gets to his feet and stands over Lachmann, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Lachmann felt that one! Kennedy unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Lachmann from any more punishment!
