Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks wants to clinch up but Duarte keeps it at a distance.

and Duarte counters with a straight right hand.
Brooks tries to land a front kick but Duarte steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Duarte throws a hook to the side of Brooks's head but Brooks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Brooks using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Duarte has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Duarte will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Brooks up against the cage.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Duarte breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Duarte connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Duarte swats away the attempt to clinch by Brooks.
It seemed like Duarte was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Duarte takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Brooks connects with a solid leg kick.
Brooks lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Brooks lands a nice leg kick that just misses Duarte's sensitive parts.
Brooks is looking to chop away at Duarte's legs.
Duarte bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Duarte! But no joy.
Brooks doesn't manage to clinch there - Duarte circles away.
Duarte now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Brooks moves in looking to clinch but Duarte pushes him off.

That was a close round but I would say that Eric Brooks will probably get the nod.
