Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Demetrio (ranked 5560 p4p, 6778 weight class) and Test Zabcdef (ranked 650 p4p, 729 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demetrio listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Demetrio scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Zabcdef doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Demetrio to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Test Zabcdef has been cut.
Demetrio lands with a good body shot.
Demetrio bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Horrible takedown attempt by Zabcdef or perhaps it was just good defense by Demetrio, which made it look bad.
Demetrio stuffs the takedown.
Jonas Demetrio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Test Zabcdef.
Zabcdef shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Demetrio has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Dead Disney World in the buildup to the fight.
Jonas Demetrio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Demetrio punishes Zabcdef's body with a nice straight punch.

Demetrio darts in and clinches Zabcdef up against the cage.

Demetrio pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Demetrio looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Zabcdef throws a low kick, looking for Demetrio's leg but Demetrio calmly moves out of range.
Jonas Demetrio is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Zabcdef takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Zabcdef avoids the body shot from Demetrio.
Demetrio scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Demetrio lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Zabcdef is rocked!

That has opened up Test Zabcdef's cut even more.
Demetrio cracks Zabcdef on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Zabcdef falls backwards against the cage. Demetrio follows up with more strikes that drop Zabcdef to his knees. Demetrio keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Zabcdef! This one is all over!

After the fight, Jonas Demetrio was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
