Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Johnson (ranked 4586 p4p, 4848 weight class) and Stat Stat (ranked 0 p4p, 156 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Stat as Johnson shoots in.

Johnson moves into range and clinches up with Stat.
Stat tries to pull guard but Johnson forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Stat manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Johnson shoots for a takedown but Stat saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stat wants to counter the offense by Johnson and move into the clinch position.

Stat is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Johnson defends well.

Stat working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Stat is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Johnson is aware though and is defending well.

Stat throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stat off to one side.

Stat controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stat stands up from Johnson's guard - Stat perhaps looking for a knockout.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Stat shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
As Stat tries to get set, Johnson tries to push him back and clinch up but Stat manages to avoid the attempt.

Johnson throws a wild body kick that Stat sees coming a mile off.

Stat jumps guard but Johnson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Stat jumps guard and drags Johnson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Stat had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Johnson defends it easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Johnson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stat counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Johnson is lucky that one didn't land flush.
No luck for Stat with that takedown attempt.
Johnson throws a big counter combination but Stat scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

A close second round but Stat Stat will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Stat escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
