And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 7 losses; Richard Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Steve Montenegro.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Puto moves into the clinch successfully.
Morgan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Puto avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Puto jumps into guard, dragging Morgan to the mat.
Morgan trying to control the position from guard on top but Puto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morgan wants to sweep here but Puto controlling him for the moment.

Puto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morgan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Puto has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Puto is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Morgan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Morgan is looking to regain half guard here but Puto keeps moving and retains side control.
Puto working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Morgan is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Puto has latched onto it... Big trouble! Puto pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Morgan is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Puto!
