Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karim Johnson (ranked 48 p4p, 63 weight class) and Gyukosho Fujimoto (ranked 9 p4p, 11 weight class). Johnson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Don't say nuthin'. Karim Johnson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gyukosho Fujimoto's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Karim Johnson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gyukosho Fujimoto!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson lands with a hook. Fujimoto tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Good leg kick by Johnson.
Fujimoto is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Johnson lands a jab to Fujimoto's midsection.
Johnson looks to land a left hand but Fujimoto moved out of range nicely.
Johnson feints a jab promting Fujimoto to slip. Johnson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Fujimoto slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Johnson throws a leg kick that is checked
and Fujimoto counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Karim Johnson has been cut.
A big left from Johnson misses.
Johnson bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Johnson getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Johnson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fujimoto has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Johnson throws the kick towards the body but Fujimoto avoids it.
Fujimoto raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
A jab from Johnson does it's job there.
Johnson misses with a looping left.
Johnson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Johnson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Johnson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Fujimoto.
Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fujimoto ducks under a wild hook from Johnson.
Johnson tries to score with a low kick but Fujimoto moves his leg out of the way.
Johnson connects with the punch.
Fujimoto on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Karim Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fujimoto stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Johnson.
Fujimoto gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Fujimoto takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Johnson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Fujimoto appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Johnson lands a really nice looking cross but Fujimoto seems unphased.
Fujimoto's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Johnson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fujimoto scrambles back to his feet.

Johnson scores with a jab to the jaw.
Johnson is looking to land body kicks.
A head kick by Fujimoto misses
and Fujimoto takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Johnson scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Johnson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Johnson tries a head kick but it misses.
Fujimoto is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Johnson is looking to slow Fujimoto down with leg kicks.
Fujimoto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Fujimoto swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Johnson counters with a crisp right hand that drops Fujimoto! Johnson lets Fujimoto back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Fujimoto takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Johnson throws a predictable looking body shot
and Fujimoto cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Johnson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Fujimoto.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fujimoto scores with a jab to the jaw.
Johnson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Fujimoto moves into range and connects with a jab.
Fujimoto moves out of range of the body kick from Johnson.
As Johnson backs off Fujimoto throws a huge counter combo but Johnson manages to avoid it all.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Fujimoto might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Johnson has got the better of the exchanges.

Johnson lands a slapping body shot.

Johnson sends Fujimoto crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Johnson is motioning to the referee to let Fujimoto up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Fujimoto is rocked!
The fighters circling - Fujimoto throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Johnson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fujimoto misses with a two punch combination.
Johnson chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Karim Johnson is winning the standup battle so far.
Fujimoto misses with a looping left.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fujimoto tries a head kick but it misses.
Fujimoto misses with a body shot.
Johnson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fujimoto has time to react.
Johnson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fujimoto.
Johnson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Fujimoto will feel that in the morning.
Fujimoto is breathing heavily.
Johnson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Fujimoto.
A thudding body kick lands there by Johnson!

Johnson cracks Fujimoto with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Johnson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Fujimoto to stand back up!
Fujimoto is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?

Johnson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Fujimoto raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Fujimoto seems to have recovered his senses.
Fujimoto moves out of range of the strikes.
Johnson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Fujimoto unleashes a big counter combination but Johnson bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Johnson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Fujimoto sprawling to the canvas! Fujimoto rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Johnson finish him?!
Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Johnson! Fujimoto is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karim Johnson!
