Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Massive Overflow!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gee throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Overflow counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Inspektor Gee has been cut.
We've been informed that Overflow has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
A jab from Gee misses.

Gee has taken the fight to the clinch.
Overflow on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Gee tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Gee swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Overflow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Overflow swings for the body but Gee moves out of range.
Gee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Overflow throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Overflow tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Gee lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

It seemed like Overflow was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and Overflow cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gee moves out of range as Overflow strikes.

Overflow takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Overflow sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

I was talking to Gee's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Overflow pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Overflow throws a hook but Gee avoids it easily.
Gee misses with a series of wild punches.
Gee wants to clinch.

Gee fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Gee tries to clinch up.

and Overflow counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Inspektor Gee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Overflow keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Nice straight punches there by Gee. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gee.

and Overflow counters with a straight right hand.

Overflow thows a left - swing and a miss!
Overflow looks to land a right hand but Gee moved out of range.

and Overflow counters with a stiff right hand.
Overflow rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Overflow connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Overflow drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Gee right on the button. Gee goes down! Overflow follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Overflow gets the win via TKO!

After the fight, Massive Overflow was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
