The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roughneck swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Roughneck shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Winks but Winks pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Winks with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Winks bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Roughneck misses with a two punch combination.
Winks tries to land a front kick but Roughneck steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Roughneck looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Roughneck cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nice straight punches there by Roughneck. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Roughneck.
Harry Winks seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Roughneck has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Roughneck there as he acknowledges the shot.
Roughneck ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Winks moves away.

Winks rushes Roughneck and presses him up against the cage.
Winks tries to work over Roughneck's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Roughneck goes for a takedown attempt but Winks pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Winks counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Oh Roughneck is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Winks finds Roughneck's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Roughneck flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Winks lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Roughneck will be OK.

After the fight, Harry Winks was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
