Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, King Rico!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rico ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Silva moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromRico.
Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rico sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Silva is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rico.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Silva, as that shot connected.

Silva swings for the body but Rico moves out of range.
Rico looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Rico slips under a jab from Silva.
Silva just misses with a punch to the body.
Silva darts in looking for a takedown but Rico gets double underhooks and turns Silva into the cage.

Rico wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Silva has him pressed against the cage.

Rico escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It seemed like Rico was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and Rico counters with a crisp one two that drops Silva! Rico thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Silva to his feet! Silva is in big trouble!
Rico loads up on a big right hand but Silva slips the punch.
Silva connects with a nice looking jab.
Silva swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
King Rico is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rico is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Silva with a body shot.
Rico slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Rico looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.
Rico just misses with a punch to the body.
Rico tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Silva throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rico on the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rico takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

A jab lands there for Rico.
Silva lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rico at a distance.

Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silva is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Rico to see if he's OK.

Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rico is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
