The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holliday is looking to clinch but Hotman is avoiding it.
Hotman replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Holliday blocks it well.
Hotman takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Holliday goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Holliday blocks a head kick by Hotman.
Holliday throws a big counter combination but Hotman scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Hotman doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hotman throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Max Holliday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Holliday throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Holliday throws a head kick but Hotman moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hotman appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Holliday wants to slow Hotman down by chopping away at his legs.

and Hotman counters with a nice kick to the body.
Holliday lands a right hook to the body.
Holliday lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hotman circles away quickly and effectively.
Holliday fails with an attempt to clinch.
Holliday misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Holliday throws a sloppy head kick and Hotman moves out of range easily.
Hotman steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
The fighters circle, before Hotman throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Holliday's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Hotman lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

A less than humble Cole Hotman misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
