Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Brown (ranked 1136 p4p, 1779 weight class) and Quintet Tarantino (ranked 138 p4p, 203 weight class). Brown comes into the arena with CCR - Bad Moon Rising blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Quintet Tarantino!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Tarantino.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Tarantino is trying to get an arm triangle but Brown is defending well.
Brown tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tarantino wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Tarantino working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Brown is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Tarantino is defending well though. Brown let's go of the attempt for now.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I really don't envy Tarantino right now.

Tarantino is having to fend off submission attempts from Brown, who is looking to sink in the choke. Brown doesn't have the hooks in though and Tarantino manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Brown was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Brown uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Tarantino tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brown swats him away and circles back towards the center.
