Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Average (ranked 4441 p4p, 2949 weight class) and Jesse Lazrus (ranked 0 p4p, 296 weight class). Joe Average could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jesse Lazrus's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Lazrus!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lazrus moves into the clinch successfully.
Lazrus drags the fight down to the ground.
Average controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Average postures up.
Lazrus seems keen to control Average's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Average avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Lazrus has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Average is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lazrus.

Average could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Average darts in and clinches Lazrus up against the cage.
Average tries to stall but Lazrus uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Average is trying to pull guard but Lazrus turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Lazrus is trying to trip Average. He has hold of a leg but Average is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lazrus persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Average controls Lazrus momentarily but Lazrus frees himself.

Average is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Lazrus presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Lazrus ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lazrus no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Average wants to stand but Lazrus has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Lazrus is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Average's half guard.
Average is staying active underneath Lazrus, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Average is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Lazrus has latched onto it... Big trouble! Lazrus pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Average is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Lazrus!
