The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huri bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Huri throws a head kick but Bobby Jr moves out of range.
Bobby Jr tries a head kick but it misses.

Bobby Jr gets a clinch.

Bobby Jr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Nice uppercut lands for Huri. That snapped Bobby Jr's head back.

It looked like Huri wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Bobby Jr counters with a left and a right that stings Huri.
Huri moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Bobby Jr drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Huri onto his butt! Huri pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bobby Jr has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Huri fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bobby Jr looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Huri feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bobby Jrs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Bobby Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Huri swats him away and circles back towards the center.
As Bobby Jr tries to get set, Huri tries to push him back and clinch up but Bobby Jr manages to avoid the attempt.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Huri is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Bobby Jr.

Huri staggers Bobby Jr with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Bobby Jr looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Huri closes the distance and catches Bobby Jr with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Bobby Jr is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Bobby Jr is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Bobby Jr is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Huri takes it!
