Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thorvald Nansen (ranked 1974 p4p, 3837 weight class) and Kareem Oweet (ranked 224 p4p, 399 weight class). Nansen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Benny Jamz - Torden. Oweet is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by STR8 Gangstaism. On his way into the cage it seems that Thorvald Nansen has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Thorvald Nansen seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oweet lands with a nice body punch.

Nansen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Nansen presses Oweet against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

I was talking to Nansen's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Nansen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Nansen lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Nansen lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Oweet backwards.
Nansen can't find room to land a body shot as Oweet controls the action.
Oweet's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Nansen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Oweet pinned against the cage. Oweet gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Oweet bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nansen throws a hook to the side of Oweet's head but Oweet sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Oweet! But no joy.
The fighters circling - Oweet throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nansen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Oweet. That did some damage!

Nansen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Oweet defends well and Nansen ends up having to push Oweet into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
