Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tarkhan Naranbaatar (ranked 3871 p4p, 1676 weight class) and Jean Luc Picard (ranked 420 p4p, 194 weight class). Naranbaatar's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, League of Legends - Phoenix (feat. Cailin Russo, Chrissy Costanza). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tarkhan Naranbaatar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jean Luc Picard!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Picard fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Naranbaatar moves in looking to clinch but Picard pushes him off.
Picard lands a right hook to the body.
Picard checks a low kick from Naranbaatar.
Naranbaatar fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Picard lands a jab to Naranbaatar's midsection.
Picard misses with an attempted mid kick.
Naranbaatar definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Naranbaatar lands a right hook to the body.
Naranbaatar throws a front kick aimed at Picard's knee but Picard avoids it well.
Picard takes a swing at Naranbaatar's ribcage but misses.

Picard only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Picard uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Naranbaatar.
Jean Luc Picard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Picard throws a shot from downtown. Naranbaatar moves away and avoids it.
Naranbaatar seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Picard pushes Naranbaatar away with a front kick.

Picard lands a really nice looking cross but Naranbaatar seems unphased.
Picard has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Picard steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Naranbaatar.
Picard now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Picard misses with a body kick.
Picard connects with a jab.
Picard throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Naranbaatar throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Naranbaatar motions for Picard to come forward. Naranbaatar throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Naranbaatar takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Picard thuds his shin into the meat of Naranbaatar's side.

Picard pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Naranbaatar changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Picard throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Naranbaatar takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Picard takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Naranbaatar throws out a loose jab but Picard uses good head movement to avoid it.

A short body shot lands from Naranbaatar as the two fighters clinch.

Naranbaatar gets control of Picard's arms and successfully pulls guard. Naranbaatar will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Picard is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Picard trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Picard fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Picard avoids a punch combination nicely.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Naranbaatar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Crunch! Picard slams his shin into Naranbaatar's torso.
Picard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Naranbaatar avoids the body shot from Picard.
Picard cracks a nice hook into Naranbaatar's ribs.
Naranbaatar fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Picard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Naranbaatar throws a right hand that misses
and Picard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A nice leg kick from Picard, right into the meat of the thigh.
An inside leg kick from Naranbaatar misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Picard throws a jab when Naranbaatar was well out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Picard.
Naranbaatar fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Picard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Naranbaatar thows a left - swing and a miss!

Picard pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Picard scoring well with a low kick there.
Naranbaatar stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Picard is rocked!

Naranbaatar drives through and clinches with Picard against the cage.
Picard is still on wobbly legs! Can Naranbaatar finish him?
Naranbaatar working the clinch nicely. Picard is working for position but Naranbaatar cracks him with a big knee to the head! Picard crumples up against the cage and Naranbaatar lands two more shots before the ref can save Picard! This one is all over!

In defeat, Jean Luc Picard stepped up to the mic, saying 'It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not weakness, that is life.'.
