The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MP moves away from the strike by Drama.

MP shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. MP showed some decent athleticism there.

MP is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
MP seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Drama for as long as he can get away with.
Drama is looking to improve his position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Still in half guard, MP seems content to control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Drama has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of MP is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Drama wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of MP's closed guard. He's half up but MP has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! MP pivots and extends the arm, Drama falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by MP! Well done that man!
