Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Higgins scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rose moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rose is on top in guard.

Rose is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Higgins wants to get back to his feet but Rose is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rose is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at The Scrap Squad that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Higgins being controlled here, momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rose postures up in Higgins 's guard and throws a big left but Higgins blocks it.

Rose is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Rose is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Rose not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rose connects with a couple of short punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Higgins wants to stand and escape but Rose is having none of it.
Higgins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rose. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rose controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Higgins gets the takedown into side control.
Rose is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Higgins off and has taken his back!

Higgins won't enjoy being in this position. Rose looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Higgins is tapping - it's over boys! Rose picks up the submission victory!
