Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between DreQuan Watson (ranked 3959 p4p, 6645 weight class) and Edouard Ngirente (ranked 489 p4p, 626 weight class). Watson's entrance music is Loneliness . A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

It looks like DreQuan Watson has been cut.

Ngirente drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Watson onto his butt! Watson pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
Ngirente's coach down at Essence Dive was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ngirente's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ngirente throws the left hand but Watson avoids the punch easily.
Ngirente takes a swing at Watson's ribcage but misses.
Watson appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
