Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St. Georges misses with a hook to the body
and Da Silva counters with a nice leg kick.
St. Georges lands with an uppercut that bounces Da Silva off the cage and back into range.
Da Silva is looking to chop away at St. Georges's legs.
St. Georges fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Da Silva checks it well.
Georges St. Georges seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

St. Georges swings away with a body shot that misses
and Da Silva counters with a stiff right hand.
Da Silva looks to land a left hand but St. Georges moved out of range nicely.
St. Georges takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Da Silva moves out of range as St. Georges strikes.
St. Georges with a lazy takedown attempt
and Da Silva counters with a straight right hand.
Da Silva walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. St. Georges checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Da Silva ducks right into an uppercut from St. Georges.

Da Silva gets caught flat footed, as St. Georges shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
St. Georges stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Da Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
St. Georges wants to control from the top but Da Silva keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Da Silva has his foot on St. Georges's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. St. Georges works his way back into a safe position though.

Da Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
St. Georges postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Da Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

St. Georges content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Da Silva has locked up a guillotine! Da Silva's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? St. Georges is holding on here and Da Silva must be using up a lot of energy. St. Georges has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Da Silva gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
