Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Test Eighteen (ranked 4405 p4p, 4354 weight class) and Jacques Turcotte (ranked 456 p4p, 446 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Test Eighteen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacques Turcotte!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eighteen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Test Eighteen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eighteen tests Turcotte's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Eighteen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Turcotte defends well and Eighteen ends up having to push Turcotte into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Eighteen gets control of Turcotte's arms and successfully pulls guard. Eighteen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Turcotte is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Turcotte trying to control the position from guard on top but Eighteen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Eighteen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Turcotte controls the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eighteen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Eighteen tries to get out of the position.
Eighteen wants to get back to his feet but Turcotte is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Eighteen controls Turcotte momentarily but Turcotte frees himself.
Eighteen managing to control the position.
Eighteen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Turcotte.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Turcotte misses with an uppercut.
Eighteen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turcotte tries to avoid it but Eighteen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turcotte to the ground. Turcotte escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Eighteen shoots in looking for a takedown but Turcotte manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Eighteen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Test Eighteen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Eighteen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Eighteen plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Turcotte wants to clinch.
Turcotte throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Turcotte uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Eighteen has time to react.

Turcotte pushes Eighteen up against the cage in a clinch.
A short left from Turcotte.
Turcotte swings wildly with an uppercut but Eighteen uses good head movement to avoid it.

Eighteen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Eighteen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Turcotte sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Eighteen somewhat.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jacques Turcotte comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Turcotte has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
