Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gueremo Dos Santos (ranked 4388 p4p, 4307 weight class) and Tayaen Porfirigo (ranked 454 p4p, 495 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos throws a shot to the body.
Dos Santos avoids the head kick by Porfirigo.
Dos Santos tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Porfirigo is able to avoid easily.

Dos Santos feints a jab promting Porfirigo to slip. Dos Santos then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Porfirigo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Tayaen Porfirigo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Porfirigo is looking to clinch but Dos Santos is avoiding it.
Dos Santos lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dos Santos.

Porfirigo works to advance to full mount. Dos Santos defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Porfirigo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dos Santos can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Dos Santos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Porfirigo on the ground.

Porfirigo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Dos Santos is now in Porfirigo's guard. A big mistake from Porfirigo there, giving up the dominant position!

Porfirigo has hold of one of Dos Santos's legs. Dos Santos is fighting the takedown attempt but Porfirigo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Porfirigo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Dos Santos wants to get back to his feet but Porfirigo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Dos Santos wants to get up but he can't break Porfirigo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Porfirigo has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Dos Santos doesn't defend quickly enough and Porfirigo has managed to lock this one up! Can Dos Santos escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Porfirigo on a fantastic submission victory.
