Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Darnell Nurse (ranked 22035 p4p, 19988 weight class) and Vincent McGuire (ranked 613 p4p, 579 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurse throws a lazy right hand but McGuire sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Nurse fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McGuire looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nurse lands a really nice looking cross but McGuire seems unphased.
McGuire takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Nurse seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Nurse tries to bum rush McGuire with a series of wild strikes but McGuire uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

McGuire feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nurses jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Nurse's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McGuire connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Nurse scrambles back to his feet.

Darnell Nurse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGuire bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Nurse connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Vincent McGuire decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
