The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Butter clinches up against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Broomsdale scores with a nice short uppercut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Broomsdale.
Broomsdale goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Broomsdale lands with a left to the head.
Broomsdale comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Butter works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Broomsdale looking for a guillotine here but Butter defends easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Butter is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Butter wants to control from the top but Broomsdale keeps moving.
Butter cracks Broomsdale with a solid left hand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Butter content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Broomsdale has locked up a guillotine! Broomsdale's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Butter is holding on here and Broomsdale must be using up a lot of energy. Butter has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Broomsdale gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
