Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hurricane Defoe (ranked 258 p4p, 719 weight class) and Harley King (ranked 44 p4p, 104 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Harley King was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hurricane Defoe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harley King!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King lands with a hook. Defoe tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
King is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Defoe.
Defoe was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
King darts in trying to clinch
and Defoe counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Defoe takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Defoe throws a half hearted mid kick.
Defoe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
King swings for the body but Defoe moves out of range.
Good shot there by Defoe.
Defoe staying out of range there.
Defoe quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Defoe slips a straight right by King.
King punishes Defoe's body with a nice straight punch.
Defoe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by King.
Defoe swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
King with a nice cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Defoe slips a jab from King.
King on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

King closes the distance and clinches.
King can't find room to land a body shot as Defoe controls the action.

King lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Defoe backwards.
King misses with a short punch on the inside.

A right handed body shot lands from King.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Defoe.

Defoe manages to break the clinch.
King wants to clinch.
Defoe is looking to counter with a body kick.
Defoe scores with a jab to the head.
King swings and misses with a hook to the body.
King fails with an attempt to clinch.
Harley King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Defoe.
Defoe jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
King misses with a shot to the body
and Defoe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Defoe slips under a jab.
King misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Defoe comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! King stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Defoe is on him like rabid pit bull! King slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
