And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Lahey!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filopovic doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Lahey holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Filopovic wants to break free but Lahey has control.

Lahey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Filopovic wants to clinch.

Lahey closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Filopovic did well to prevent Lahey getting side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lahey passes to side control.
Filopovic avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Lahey.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Lahey tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Filopovic tries to improve position but can't.
Filopovic tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Lahey presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Lahey throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Lahey looking to secure an arm triangle but Filopovic defends it well.
Lahey has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lahey can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Filopovic is looking to escape.
Lahey might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Filopovic haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lahey sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Lahey goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Filopovic turns into him and now he's in Lahey's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lahey is trying to keep Filopovic in close.

Jim Lahey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lahey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
