Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ahmet Karakami!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Damien Edna and Ron Honeybunn.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karakami fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Karakami goes for a double leg but IV avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as IV continues to drive forward.
Karakami is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Karakami takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A punch lands to the side of Karakami 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Ahmet Karakami has been cut.
Karakami moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Karakami walks into a stiff left hand from IV.

IV waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Karakami. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Karakami to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Karakami is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

IV stands up from Karakami's guard - IV perhaps looking for a knockout.

IV waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Karakami. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Karakami to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Karakami is still in real trouble! Can IV finish him?

IV stands and steps away. Karakami gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Karakami seems to have recovered his senses.

IV is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Karakami takes a body punch but keeps moving.

IV dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

IV cracks Karakami with an uppercut from hell and Karakami crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of IV's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Karakami is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

IV stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Karakami should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
IV throws a right and a left that Karakami avoids nicely.
IV scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
IV throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Karakami.

IV stands and steps away. Karakami gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

IV cracks Karakami's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Karakami slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before IV can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Charlie IV!
After the fight, Charlie IV was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
