Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Edgar Bravo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Carlos Rogan!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bravo gets a double leg takedown into Rogan's guard.
Rogan working a defensive guard here.
Bravo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rogan's guard.

Bravo is trying to work for a kimura but Rogan is defending well.
Rogan regains full guard. Nicely done.
Bravo wants to control from the top but Rogan keeps moving.
Rogan wants to sweep here but Bravo controlling him for the moment.
Our spies down at at Clinch Pride inform us that Rogan has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Bravo wants to pass the guard but Rogan is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rogan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Bravo wants to control from the top but Rogan keeps moving.
Bravo is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at BLOODBATH Training Grounds that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Bravo is really struggling to control Rogan but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Bravo controlling from the top position.

Rogan has his foot on Bravo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bravo works his way back into a safe position though.

Bravo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rogan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bravo, into his guard.


Rogan stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Bravo throws up his legs and catches Rogan in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Rogan tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Bravo! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Edgar Bravo!
A relieved looking Edgar Bravo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
