Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony McCowan (ranked 2092 p4p, 2360 weight class) and Daizen Kuroda (ranked 234 p4p, 268 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tony McCowan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daizen Kuroda!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCowan cracks Kuroda with a right hand to the side of the head.
McCowan throws a lazy right hand but Kuroda sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kuroda shoots in looking for a takedown but McCowan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kuroda's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
McCowan scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Kuroda shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McCowan pinned against the cage. McCowan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kuroda avoids the body shot from McCowan.
McCowan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kuroda.
Tony McCowan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daizen Kuroda.
Kuroda shoots in looking for a takedown. McCowan tries to sprawl out of it but Kuroda keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McCowan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like McCowan has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

McCowan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Kuroda shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McCowan defends it nicely.
Daizen Kuroda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McCowan jabs Kuroda right on the nose. Kuroda blinks but takes it well.
