Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between King Milleer Gonzales (ranked 3549 p4p, 5166 weight class) and Allen Mack (ranked 317 p4p, 388 weight class). Allen Mack will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gonzales shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mack's guard.

Mack pushes Gonzales off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Mack keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

A countering left hand to the body from Mack misses.

Gonzales darts in and clinches Mack up against the cage.
Mack works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Mack using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gonzales has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Gonzales tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mack just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Milleer Gonzales. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gonzales is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mack is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gonzales breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mack bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gonzales's head.
Mack defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gonzales.
Mack lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

A slapping leg kick lands for Mack.
Mack is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Gonzales misses with a takedown attempt - Mack sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gonzales tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Mack counters with a low kick, right behind Gonzales 's knee.
Mack will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mack displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gonzales.

Mack shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mack was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
