Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Will Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bofur Widehat!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Widehat moves forwards but Jackson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jackson lands a glancing blow to the side of Widehat's head.

Jackson gets caught napping as Widehat dives in and scores a takedown. Jackson manages to retain guard.
Widehat trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jackson being controlled here, momentarily.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Widehat wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Widehat passes Jackson's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Widehat is working for a kimura but Jackson is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Widehat uses his free foot to push down on Jackson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jackson.

Widehat with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Jackson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jackson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Widehat is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jackson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jackson shrugs it off.
Widehat can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape.

Widehat jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jackson manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Widehat wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bofur Widehat dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Widehat on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Widehat feints and as Jackson raises his hands in defense, Widehat changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Widehat wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Widehat on the ground.
Widehat stands and throws Jackson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Widehat trying to control the action but Jackson is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Widehat tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Widehat has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Widehat has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at CT. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Bofur Widehat has got the better of the ground game so far.

Widehat is trying to get an arm triangle but Jackson is defending well.

Widehat thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Widehat wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy.
Jackson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jackson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Widehat presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Widehat working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Jackson turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Widehat off and cradles Jackson's limp body as Widehat celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Bofur Widehat!
Our winner, Bofur Widehat, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
