PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Piano (ranked 2 p4p, 32 weight class) and Mister McNasty (ranked 1 p4p, 6 weight class). Piano comes into the arena with Rick going ham on a bitch blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Piano !
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Mister McNasty!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McNasty moves into range and clinches up with Piano .
Piano lands a left hand that snaps the head of McNasty backwards.
Piano lands a body shot in the clinch.
McNasty blocks an uppercut.
Piano landing knees to the body.
McNasty tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Piano manages to break the clinch.
McNasty wants to clinch
letting Piano counter with a right hand.

It looks like Mister McNasty has been cut.
McNasty throws a lazy head kick
and Piano counters with a solid body kick.
McNasty looks winded!
McNasty swings widly with a right hand
and Piano counters with a body kick that stops McNasty in his tracks momentarily.
A head kick misses from Piano .
A nice leg kick from Piano , right into the meat of the thigh.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McNasty ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Piano moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Piano works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
McNasty throws a head kick but Piano moves out of range.
McNasty closes the distance looking to clinch
and Piano counters with a lovely shot to the body.
McNasty keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McNasty misses with a straight left.
Piano takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Piano throws a head kick but McNasty moves out of range.
McNasty feints a counter leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Piano looks to score with a jab to the body but McNasty is just out of range.
McNasty tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
McNasty throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
McNasty tries to clinch up
and Piano makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Piano connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Piano throws a powerful right kick. McNasty tried to block low but the kick was high! McNasty was taken right off of his feet! Piano jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Rick Piano !
Rick Piano retains his heavyweight title!
A relieved looking Rick Piano thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
