The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Absame decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Absame looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Wagner actively working from the bottom here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Absame is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wagner knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Absame has hold of Wagner's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Wagner tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Absame cranks the arm and Wagner screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Wagner, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
