The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kitano forces Hooper back against the cage and clinches.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Hooper.
A head punch on the inside from Kitano fails to land.
Our sources have told us that Hooper has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Kitano has a couple of punches blocked by Hooper.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kitano has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Hooper lands an uppercut.
Hooper lands with a left to the head.

It looks like Ryusuke Kitano has been cut.

Kitano goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Kitano lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hooper backwards.

Kitano breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hooper circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Kitano to the canvas! Kitano doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Hooper keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
