The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salvacion on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Hooks closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Hooks manages to break the clinch.
Joe Hooks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Salvacion is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Salvacion walks into a stiff left hand from Hooks.
Hooks throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
We've been told by Hooks's head coaches at Brazilian Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Hooks clinches.

Hooks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hooks lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Salvacion takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hooks keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hooks bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Salvacion's head backwards.

Salvacion is rocked!
Hooks connects with a right that clearly hurt Salvacion. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Hooks proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Salvacion collapses and taps out under the pressure!

A less than humble Joe Hooks misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
