PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reed Richards (ranked 3118 p4p, 3596 weight class) and Matt Fallon (ranked 400 p4p, 451 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fallon manages to avoid it.
Fallon throws a nice looking combination but Richards bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
It looked like Richards was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Fallon connects with a jab.
Richards pushes Fallon away with a front kick.
Richards definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Fallon misses with a series of wild punches.
Fallon throws a right and a left that both miss.
Richards fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fallon manages to avoid it.
Fallon looks to land a body kick but Richards moved away.
Richards jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Fallon throws a hook to the side of Richards's head but Richards sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A jab from Fallon does it's job there.
Fallon misses with a lunging right hand
and Richards counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sloppy strikes from Fallon. Those never looked like landing.
Richards throws a jab but it's blocked by Fallon.

Richards throws the kick towards the body but Fallon avoids it.
Fallon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Richards manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fallon misses with a two punch combination.

and Richards counters with a nice low kick that buckles Fallon's knee momentarily.

Still in the clinch, Fallon scores with a nice short uppercut.

Richards is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Fallon to keep the fight standing.
Fallon blocks an uppercut.
Richards swings away with an uppercut that misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Richards manages to break the clinch.
Richards throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Fallon throws a left and a right that both miss
and Richards counters with a nice uppercut.

Richards was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Fallon throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Fallon works Richards's body with a nice hook.
Fallon tries to move into range but Richards moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Fallon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Richards cracks Fallon with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

A slapping leg kick lands for Fallon.
Richards takes one to the side of the head.
Fallon throws a right and a left that Richards avoids nicely.
Richards uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Fallon takes one on the button.
Fallon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Richards cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Richards scores with a jab.
Richards checks the leg kick.
Richards misses with an uppercut.
Fallon tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Richards is able to avoid easily.
Richards throws a quick inside leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Richards lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Fallon is rocked!

Richards lands a big head kick that sends Fallon to the canvas! Richards follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
