Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Solly Stanley!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz goes for a double leg but Stanley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stanley continues to drive forward.

Stanley gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Diaz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stanley walks away with a smile on his face. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Diaz fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Despite the aggression on Stanley's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Stanley drops Diaz with a nice combination! Stanley dives into Diaz's guard, looking to finish!

It looks like Nick Diaz has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Stanley stands up from Diaz's guard - Stanley perhaps looking for a knockout.

I was talking to Diaz's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Diaz tries for a takedown but Stanley manages to get underhooks.

Stanley has had enough of the clinch but Diaz keeps him there for the moment.
Diaz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stanley walks away with a smile on his face. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Diaz keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Stanley's efforts to push away.
Stanley looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Diaz decides to pull guard.

Stanley gets to his feet - Diaz follows without any prompting.

Stanley gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Diaz tries to pull guard but Stanley forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Diaz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Stanley gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Diaz with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Stanley is looking to break free of the clinch but Diaz has double underhooks.
Stanley lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Diaz or not.
Stanley is trying to break the clinch but Diaz has him pressed against the cage.
Stanley is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Diaz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stanley smiles and moves away.
Diaz tries to clinch but Stanley is having none of it.
Stanley misses with a series of wild punches.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Stanley tries a knee to the head but Diaz blocks it.

Stanley is trying to break free.
Stanley tries to circle away but Diaz has him pinned against the cage.
Diaz misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Diaz looking to slow down the pace here.
Diaz jumps guard but Stanley turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Stanley wants to get back to striking at distance but Diaz won't allow it.
Diaz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Stanley is trying to break the clinch but Diaz has him pressed against the cage.

Diaz breaks the clinch.
Stanley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Diaz avoids it really well and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Stanley throws a right and a left that Diaz avoids nicely.

Diaz tries to keep at a distance but Stanley has taken the fight into the clinch.

Stanley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Diaz fails with the takedown.
Stanley shoots for a double leg takedown but Diaz sprawls well. He's pushed Stanley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Stanley has closed the distance and engaged Diaz in a clinch.
Stanley is looking to break free of the clinch but Diaz has double underhooks.

Diaz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Stanley closes the distance and clinches.
Diaz tries to pull guard but Stanley won't allow it.
Diaz jumps guard but Stanley turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Stanley tries to break free but Diaz pushes him back against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Solly Stanley dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Nick Diaz's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Stanley lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Diaz tries a head kick but it misses.
Stanley connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Diaz! He's out on his feet! Stanley rushes in and drops Diaz with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Solly Stanley!
