Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luke Neil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mattias Lundgren!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neil missing with a left hand there. Lundgren was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Neil connects with a right hand. Lundgren shakes it off.
Lundgren on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Lundgren counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Lundgren is thwarting Neil's attempts to control the position.

Lundgren manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Neil on his heels. He'll look to pass Neil's guard now, I'm sure.
Neil has control of Lundgren's left arm, preventing Lundgren from doing any damage.
Lundgren is pushing down on Neil's leg trying to pass to half guard. Neil is fighting to maintain full guard but Lundgren has managed to sneak the leg through.
Neil is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Neil is not content to let Lundgren control the position.

Lundgren is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Neil still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Neil has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Neil throws an elbow but Lundgren slips to the side and avoids it well.
Neil fails to land a wild elbow strike.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Neil in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Neil looks up at the clock and then as Lundgren takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Neil smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Luke Neil dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Neil avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Neil feinted with a counter takedown.
Lundgren changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Neil tries to avoid it but Lundgren manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Neil to the ground. Neil escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lundgren closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Neil quickly recovers to half guard.
Neil makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Neil.
Lundgren passes Neil's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Lundgren is keen to just control but Neil is a slippery customer.
Lundgren wants to free his trapped foot but Neil is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Neil is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lundgren's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lundgren's back!
Neil is working the ground and pound. Can Lundgren escape?
Lundgren tries to escape but Neil has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Lundgren covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Neil is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Lundgren is defending well though. Neil let's go of the attempt for now.

I really don't envy Lundgren right now.
Lundgren is trying to escape under a series of strikes and manages to escape from Neil 's hooks.

Neil goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lundgren turns into him and now he's in Neil's guard.

Luke Neil overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lundgren working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Neil turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Lundgren off and cradles Neil's limp body as Lundgren celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Mattias Lundgren!
A less than humble Mattias Lundgren misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
