Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rapido Nadadora (ranked 4485 p4p, 5022 weight class) and Ichiro Shimizu (ranked 495 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Nadadora loads up on a big right hand but Shimizu slips the punch.
Nice straight punches there by Nadadora. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Nadadora.

It looks like Ichiro Shimizu has been cut.
Nadadora tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shimizu was well out of range. Poor timing from Nadadora.

Shimizu tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nadadora defends well and Shimizu ends up having to push Nadadora into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Nadadora keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Shimizu's efforts to push away.
Nadadora lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Shimizu backwards.
Nadadora lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Shimizu or not.
Shimizu tries to pull guard but Nadadora holds him up against the cage and eventually Shimizu drops back down to his feet.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Nadadora creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Shimizu tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rapido Nadadora has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ichiro Shimizu.

Shimizu misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Nadadora.
Shimizu fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Nadadora stops a takedown attempt from Shimizu.
Nadadora's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Nadadora has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Nadadora manages to break the clinch.
Shimizu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nadadora tries to avoid it but Shimizu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nadadora to the ground. Nadadora escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nadadora lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Shimizu falls backwards - clearly groggy! Nadadora dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
