Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Irong Kasamsun (ranked 1118 p4p, 2723 weight class) and Ryan Mcarthy (ranked 133 p4p, 273 weight class). Kasamsun comes to the cage accompanied by Tain With No Love - Andre Nickatina. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Irong Kasamsun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Mcarthy!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcarthy throws a head kick that misses.
Kasamsun tries to counter with a takedown but Mcarthy is quick to defend against it.

Kasamsun throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mcarthy tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kasamsun is in Mcarthy's guard.
Mcarthy is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mcarthy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Kasamsun won't allow Mcarthy to get back to his feet.
Kasamsun is working Mcarthy over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Mcarthy wants to stand up but Kasamsun is controlling him.
Kasamsun throwing strikes but missing.
Mcarthy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kasamsun is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kasamsun keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mcarthy's head.

Mcarthy pushes Kasamsun off and gets back to his feet.
Kasamsun closes the distance and clinches up with Mcarthy, looking for a takedown. Kasamsun pushes Mcarthy against the cage but Mcarthy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Mcarthy counters with a one-two to the body.

Mcarthy feints and as Kasamsun raises his hands in defense, Mcarthy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kasamsun has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Mcarthy has passed into side control.
Kasamsun has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mcarthy wants to stand but Kasamsun is controlling his arm.
You can see the frustration on Kasamsun's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
I've been told that Mcarthy has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Kasamsun is in close to Mcarthy's body, working some short punches and elbows.

We've been hearing that Kasamsun has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Kasamsun lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Mcarthy is looking to stand up but Kasamsun isn't so interested in that idea.
Kasamsun lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Mcarthy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kasamsun is controlling him.

Mcarthy wants to stand but Kasamsun is controlling the position.
Kasamsun working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mcarthy's head.

Mcarthy wriggles free and stands up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Irong Kasamsun will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Mcarthy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kasamsun sprawls well. Kasamsun wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mcarthy gets slowly back to his feet.
Kasamsun half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Kasamsun shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kasamsun showed some decent athleticism there.

Mcarthy won't allow Kasamsun to pass to mount.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kasamsun lands a nice short elbow.

Mcarthy is rocked!

Kasamsun lands a big elbow - Mcarthy is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Kasamsun!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Irong Kasamsun!
Irong Kasamsun seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
