Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Theo Trivette (ranked 3331 p4p, 4262 weight class) and Curtis Rome (ranked 359 p4p, 444 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curtis Rome!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rome takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Trivette avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rome has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rome there as he acknowledges the shot.
Trivette avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Rome shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trivette sprawls well. Trivette wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rome gets slowly back to his feet.

Trivette lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Trivette is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

No joy there for Trivette, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
