Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gemellus Axius (ranked 948 p4p, 453 weight class) and Takeru Kubota (ranked 56 p4p, 33 weight class). Axius comes to the cage accompanied by Feed the Machine. The crowd seem to be enjoying Kubota's choice of entrance music: Devilman No Uta (1972). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axius fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kubota manages to avoid it.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kubota has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kubota and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

After the fight, Takeru Kubota was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
