Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Evan Duvernay (ranked 2368 p4p, 1414 weight class) and Gholam Estili (ranked 285 p4p, 173 weight class). Estili is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ready For War (Instrumental). Evan Duvernay has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Estili shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Estili was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Estili tries to move to mount but Duvernay blocks the move with his legs.
Estili throws a strike aimed at the side of Duvernay's head but Duvernay avoids it well.
Duvernay's coaches at Andy's Sweaty Men Junior have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Estili has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Estili is looking to take a break and control but Duvernay is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Evan Duvernay decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
