The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rogan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Watakeekul to the mat! Watakeekul manages to get full guard.
Watakeekul wants to stand but Rogan is controlling the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rogan's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Rogan passes Watakeekul's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Rogan wants to pass the guard but Watakeekul is defending well.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rogan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Watakeekul sneaks out the side door and pushes Rogan away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

and Rogan counters with a single leg into guard. Watakeekul didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rogan passes Watakeekul's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Watakeekul really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rogan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rogan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Watakeekul!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
