PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dingleberry Jones (ranked 1525 p4p, 1354 weight class) and Jargon Gin (ranked 182 p4p, 166 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jones might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hell Yeah. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dingleberry Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jargon Gin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gin is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gin, as that shot connected.
Gin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones.
Jones connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

It looks like Jargon Gin has been cut.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Gin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Gin pushes him off.
Jones takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Jones clinches with his opponent.
Jones misses with a hook to the ribs.
Gin digs a right hand underneath Jones's ribcage. Jones let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Gin manages to break the clinch.
Jones with a poor takedown
letting Gin counter with a right hand.
Gin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Gin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Gin.
Gin is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.

Jones clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gin lands with a left to the head.
Jones swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Nice body punch from Jones - that landed with a thud.
A short right from Jones on the inside.
Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gin just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dingleberry Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gin scores with a nice hook to the head.

Gin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Gin tries to sprawl but Jones drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Gin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Gin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jones scores with a couple of nice shots.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones stops Gin from getting back to his feet.
Gin blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones.
Gin tries to kick Jones off in order to stand up. Jones Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Jones working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Gin wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Gin explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gin misses with a shot to the body
and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gin pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
It looked like Jones wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jones.
Gin bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jones's head backwards.
Jones gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gin.

Jones clinches up with Gin and pushes him back against the cage.
Gin lands a shoulder strike.
Jones tries a body shot but Gin blocks it.
Jones blocking some punches.
Gin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jones backwards.
Jones fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jones tries a body shot but Gin blocks it.
Jones scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Gin misses with a body punch.
Gin misses with a short punch on the inside.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones is trying to pull guard but Gin turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Gin.
Gin tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jones's elbow.
Gin goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Jones pressing his opponent against the cage.
Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gin smiles and moves away.
Gin catches Jones with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Jones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Jones is rocked!
Jones gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Gin points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Jones wakes up just in time to hear Gin thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
