The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Read is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nicoletta.
Read tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nicoletta was well out of range. Poor timing from Read.
Read throws a right hand that misses
and Nicoletta counters with a right hand to the body.
Read walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Roy Read has been cut.

It looked like Nicoletta was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Read.
Read throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Nicoletta to counter with a crisp jab.
Read throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nicoletta sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Read swings widly with a right hand
and Nicoletta counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Read has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nicoletta. Read does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nicoletta connects with a nice looking jab.
Read throws a lazy uppercut
and Nicoletta scores with a counter punch that sends Read to the canvas! Nicoletta smells blood - he's punishing Read with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Read has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
